I have handcarved this original black bird into a piece of linoleum block, Applied black Speedball Printing ink on a archival Heavyweight 400 series Strathmore Printmaking Paper, to create the 1st of 50 BLACK Prints of this design. I have marked it as 1/50, Named it "Blackbird Singin", and signed my name to it as the artist. Created in 2020.
Inspired by the memory of my mothers friend who owned a large crow. It collect shiny metal objects and I have always loved black winged birds , in all shapes and sizes.
I have mounted this print onto a modern art piece of designer paper and framed it in a white mat. Outside measures 11x14 and inside is 8x10.
